Workshop

Ton in Ton is not just trading in instruments. We manufacture some of the instruments offered here in our own workshop.

In addition to the ocarina and bone flutes, we have a drum building workshop. Davul, march or mercenary drums and shamanic frame drums are made here.

Furthermore, Chalumeaux, a clarinet predecessor, are created on the drilling machine.

Here you can take a look at our workshop.

sound frog and owl flute

These frogs are carved out of hard wood and have a hollow body. By rubbing the wooden stick over the jagged ridge on the frog's back one can make the frog croak.
three sizes are available: ca. 5 cm, 10 cm and 15 cm

The Owls are made from the same wood as a pipe. Blowing in the top of the head makes a sound like an owl. different sizes make different sounds like small or large owls.

Hapi drum deep sound

The most popular tuning for the hapi in the low register is pentatonic D minor, which builds up a calm, softly vibrating harmonic sound.

Very beautiful and somewhat more appealing is the tuning in D-Akebono, a Japanese pentatonic, which does not sound quite as calm as the conventional pentatonic, but builds up a little more tension.

d-minor pentatonic. D - F - G - A - C - D - F - G

D Akebono D - E - F - A - B - D - E - F

Evry Hapi comes with two mallets and a bag.
