The panel for the body is cut to size
The ends are sanded for the overlap
The panels for the carcass are then steamed
The hot plates are easy to bend
The mould for bending the carcass
The body is brought into shape

Strips are glued in to reinforce the edges
When the glue is dry, the edges are plastered
The wooden rings are marked
Holes are pre-punched for sawing out the rings
The metal rings are bent
And welded
A string is knotted onto the wooden rings in loops
Once all parts have been prepared, the Davul can be purchased
The dried pergament is trimmed at the edge
